The beach at Kalamaki is part of Laganas Bay, a good sandy beach
with gentle shelving sea, great for young children. Some areas of
the beach are inaccessible as it is the habitat and breeding ground
to the loggerhead turtle, an endangered species.
The resort has maintained a traditional Greek feel, with its slow
and relaxed pace. There are a good selection of bars and restaurants
in the resort.
Kalamaki is popular with couples and families, particularly those
with young children.
